Equity Sales and Trading
Domestic Trading
The domestic equity trading desk operates with the latest technologies, including FIX connectivity of Mixit, Triton and Bloomberg, plus straight-through processing (STP) via OASYS. Our traders use Transaction Cost Analysis, various algorithms, and their years of experience to minimize market impact and obtain best-price execution for our clients. Clients receive frequent updates from our traders with the latest trade flow and news developments in stocks of interest. We also provide clients with end-of-day reports measuring market impact.
International Trading (MInT)
In 2006 Melvin & Company recognized the need to offer our clients a high quality, international trading platform. In the fourth quarter of 2006, we initiated Melvin International Trading (“MInT”). We believe that our ability to take international trade orders in ways that work best for our clients is what differentiates MinT from other platforms.
Our first trading platform was a technological breakthrough that was widely accepted by asset managers as a fast, reliable and an inexpensive way to trade non-US stocks. MInT gave investment managers direct market access into overseas markets.
MInT also allows our clients to send orders via FIX connectivity. Traders appreciate the safety of FIX connectivity combined with the ability to add special trading instructions to the orders.
MInT leverages state-of-the-art, back office technology to verify trade numbers and to open accounts quickly and seamlessly.
